Test your automations before your clients depend on them.
LoopSpec is for people who build webhook-based automations, for example in n8n. You define repeatable test requests and the results you expect. LoopSpec runs them, flags what changed since the last run, and produces a plain report you can hand to a client.
The survey and these forms work without any account and without the AI assistant.
What exists today
These features exist in the current build and have automated tests. They run on your own computer.
Repeatable webhook tests
Save a request (URL, headers, JSON body) with the HTTP status you expect, and run it whenever you change the workflow.
Explicit assertions
Check specific response fields with deterministic rules. There is no AI judging whether an answer is "close enough".
Regression detection
Each run is compared with the previous one, so a test that passed before and fails now is called out.
QA pack: Lead Intake v1
One ready-made set of seven tests for a lead-intake workflow (valid lead, missing or malformed email, and so on). You adapt the assertions to your own workflow.
Client handoff report
An HTML or JSON report with an overall status, what was tested, what was not, and any warnings. It never calls a pass a guarantee.
Secrets kept out of view
Header values and URL secrets are encrypted on disk and masked in the interface and reports. The encryption key stays outside the database.
What it does not do (yet, or at all)
- It is not hosted. It runs on your own machine at 127.0.0.1. There is no cloud version, account system or team sharing.
- It does not read or edit your n8n workflows. It sends requests to a webhook URL you give it and checks what comes back.
- It does not monitor workflows on a schedule or alert you.
- A passing report means the checked responses matched your assertions at the time shown. It does not prove that downstream actions (records created, emails sent) happened correctly unless an assertion checks them.
- Testing so far has been on Linux. A Windows acceptance run is in progress, so Windows support is not yet confirmed.
Who it is for
Freelancers, agencies and in-house builders who hand webhook-driven automations to someone else, and want repeatable evidence of what was checked before handoff. If that is not you, the survey is still useful: it tells us where LoopSpec is not relevant.
Status and early access
- There is no public release, launch date or price yet.
- There is no early-access programme with published terms. Completing the survey does not reserve access or promise a response.
- There is no creator or referral programme with published terms, and no commission rate. The partner form only registers interest.
When terms exist they will be published on this site before anyone is asked to agree to them.
